Hello Peter, fab photos!
Alison and Bill chose the lovely old world setting of the Lovekyn Chapel Kingston Upon Thames Surrey for their delightful and intimate wedding ceremony.
Yes the Lovekyn Chapel is a "chapel" but it is an approved civil wedding venue rather than a religious one. It has a fascinating past and in the present day it is part of Kingston Grammar School which is immediately across the road from the chapel.
The Kingston registrars were as always an absolute delight to work with and Peter was able to shoot a good selection of photos throughout the wedding ceremony.
Our couple booked a short duration photography package starting shortly before the ceremony with the arrival of the guests and finishing with some posed and semi-posed group photos in the chapel's pretty gardens at the rear.
The first photo below shows the Lovekyn Chapel as you approach it from the school. It looks quite countryfied - who would think we are in the very heart of modern Kingston Upon Thames!
The interior oif the chapel is light and airy. There is much more space available at the front now that the organ which once had pride of place has been removed:
And here is the view of the inside of the Chapel as seen from the front:
The Kingston registrars are fine with professional photography and videography during wedding ceremonies in the Lovekyn Chapel:
The gardens to the rear of the Lovekyn Chapel are small but pretty and well maintained, making a good backdrop for some posed and reportage wedding photographs:
