Hey why not take a look at this photo slideshow of an all-day wedding Peter has photographed and videoed at The Weston Manor Weston On The Green. It runs from the “getting ready” to the dancing in the evening and should give you a really good feel for what happens on a wedding day. See the photos in this slideshow or in this sample gallery below:

Background Information and Highlights

Our bride and groom chose a delightful Oxfordshire venue for their marriage ceremony and wedding reception - The Weston Manor Hotel at Weston on the Green in between Oxford and Bicester.

The Weston Manor has a fascinating history stretching back hundreds of years and you certainly do feel that vibe as soon as you enter the gorgeous grounds and the building itself. And in more recent times generations of special forces military personnel including Peter would have seen a birds eye view of The Weston Manor seconds before parachuting onto the practice field at nearby Weston on the Green courtesy of the Royal Air Force!

Our couple selected an all day combined photography and video package starting with the girls and guys getting ready and finishing shortly after the dancing got underway in the evening.

The registrars conducting the civil ceremony were great as always. This had a strong theatrical flavour including singing some well-known west-end musical numbers with everyone - not the "normal" registrars working day!

One wedding day VIP that didn't show up was sunny weather; par for the course this season though! We had drizzle and showers for much of the day and it was not possible to make as much use of the lovely mature landscaped grounds as we might have liked. Fortunately the precipitation eased a little after the ceremony, just enough to rush through some of the essential group photos outside, before returning with a vengeance.

Our couple had arranged a bird of prey display for the afternoon. The birds were real troupers - which befitted a wedding at which many of the guests have theatrical connections - and put on a performance for us despite the rain. Yes those dots in the photos are not some photoshop effect trying to emulate old film grain, they are the raindrops!

We had the company of Wilf and Winter throughout the day - two lurchers - who helped out with everything from getting ready to carrying the rings into the ceremony to assisting with the photos

When Peter’s clients first contacted him there was a long conversation about pets, and dogs in particular. Then followed the unique agreement that they would book Peter but only on condition that he brings his dog to meet them, which he duly did. The photo alongside typifies the doggy; another lover has described “a cross between a kangaroo and an alligator”. And since you ask, yes she did start life as a Police dog. But she is far too soft and friendly so now she has a life of leisure!

The dancing was fantastic - probably because the bride and groom and many of the guests are enthusiastic theatre performers!
