Background Information and Highlights
Peter is the proprietor of Ashton Lamont Photo Video and personally shoots every wedding.
Peter was born in Dunstable many moons ago, at the old Ashton Schoolhouse - his dad was a teacher at the school and a leading light in St Peters Church in the centre of Dunstable. The family subsequently moved to the North of England. Then as an adult Peter and his own young family moved to the village of Toddington within a stones throw of Dunstable. Peter's own daughter Lyndsey was born in the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Peter is now based in Berkshire and works throughout the South of England. Luton and Dunstable are easy routes!
Anyway, this gallery features several weddings from the many cultures and faiths throughout the Bedfordshire area. The civil wedding celebrants in this area are very easy-going and Peter is able to shoot a good variety of photos and video throughout the ceremonies. Religious ceremonies may have some restrictions imposed by specific celebrants so do be sure to check beforehand. Civil ceremonies are fine so long as no religious element is included. Church of England ceremonies may be restricted to some extent by individual priests. Catholic ceremonies tend to be unrestricted as are Humanist ceremonies. Muslim ceremonies including Al-Nikah at private venues are fine other than the differentiation between the sexes. Sikh ceremonies also fine so long as footwear is removed and a turban or suchlike worn. Hindu ceremonies may need that footwear be removed.
If you'd like to browse a gallery featuring just one bride and groom throughout the day you'll find lots via the main Galleries Page, for example at Hunton Park.
The photography coverage often starts with the latter stages of the girls getting ready, and includes detail shots like the shoes, flowers, dresses, jewellery etc. Then over to the venue to shoot the boys n.b. they tend not to be into "getting ready" coverage unlike the girls! Then the ceremony, the "cocktail hour" afterwards, setpiece group photos and portraits, the wedding breakfast and speeches, the dancing and live bands, and - if you're up for it - fireworks.
The style of photography is entirely up to you - as many or as few groups etc as you want. "Traditional" style photos are making a strong revival at present so don't be shy if this is what you want. Lots of couples chose a significant number of this type of photo for their wedding albums, so you'll see in the album samples.
See lots more wedding photo galleries including e.g. Peter’s Mercure St Albans Noke Hotel, Peter’s Grims Dyke Hotel, Peter’s Crazy Bear Hotel, Peter’s All Saints Church Kenton Harrow, Peter’s Hunton Park, Peter’s St Albans Registry Office, and many more.

"Your work is amazing and we are extremely happy with every single photo you have taken and we love having such a great record of our wedding day. It has been lovely to look back at those moments and especially with the video. Some of the things that happened, particularly during the speeches we forgot had happened and we really loved watching the video and hearing the little things your mics picked up. The quality of your work has been brilliant. And the wedding albums are all amazing and perfect. We want to say a massive thank you for all your hard work, you were by far the best choice of photographer"
