Background Information and Highlights
Our featured bride and groom chose Loseley Park Guildford Surrey for their wedding, or to be 100% accurate the blessing of their wedding as they had a separate civil marriage ceremony some time ago. And being the gluten for punishment our bride also scheduled a third ceremony to take place in her native Malaysia shortly afterwards!
Our couple selected all day coverage from Peter, starting with the latter stages of the girls getting ready and finishing a little while after the first dance. Video of the entire ceremony and speeches was included in addition to the normal stills coverage.
Loseley Park is a hugely impressive and ancient stately home in its own extensive grounds, yet it is very easy to reach being just a few miles south of Guildford Surrey and a short distance from the M3 and M25 motorways. It is very well maintained both inside and outside, and is particularly famous for its gardens. There is plenty of onsite parking.
One major issue that professional photographers and videographers should be aware of is that access to the Great Hall and the Drawing Room (which normally host ceremonies) is not permitted until one hour before the ceremony is scheduled. Again, the nearest parking to the main building is some distance away (except for quick dropoffs) and so this needs to be factored into the timeline if anything more than the bare necessities of equipment are to be put in place. The main building is locked shortly after the ceremony and so equipment should be removed in good time. Early on our couples day Peter did bump into someone from the previous days wedding who had returned to retrieve some "lost" equipment!
The Tithe Barn is also licensed for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies and in addition it is normally the location for receptions, and there are no access considerations for the Barn.
