Background Information and Highlights

Both couples featured in this short gallery chose the beautiful old St Michael and All Angels Church Sandhurst Berkshire for their marriage ceremonies.

St Michael Church (n.b. its "Michael" not "Michaels", the "s" is missing!), on the outskirts of this famous military town, is just gorgeous both outside and inside. Its also popular - as you might expect - so couples are advised to book early to avoid disappointment!

The military wedding ceremony was conducted by the rector, Rev John Castle. The experience was terrific. The second featured wedding (in their brown colour scheme) was officiated by a stand-in priest and there were onerous restrictions and Peter could not shoot photos or video during that ceremony.

From St Michael and All Angels the "military" couple made the short journey to the reception - a private military base. The venue had a lovely secluded location and an interesting history having passed through the ownership of several "county" families, and as befits its pedigree it has a hugely impressive interior as you will see in the galleries.

The second couple moved on to the delightful Rivervale Barn (see Peter’s Rivervale Barn Wedding Photo Gallery) just outside Yateley - a venue peter has worked at many times.

The weather on the days did what was reasonably expected of it for mid and late Summer weddings and we had lots of sunshine. In fact it got rather too warm in the afternoon if anything!
