Bride and groom walk through the lovely grounds of the Grim's Dyke Hotel Harrow after their wedding ceremony
Background Information and Highlights
Our featured couples have chosen the beautiful Victorian country house Grim's Dyke Hotel for their marriage ceremony and wedding reception. They selected combined photography and video packages with coverage starting shortly before the ceremony and finishing a little while after their first dance.
The Grims Dyke Hotel is in Harrow Weald Middlesex - or if you're not sure where that is - north-west London just twelve miles from the city centre. But this description of its location belies its fantastic features and ambience; forty acres of varied and mature landscaped grounds crowned with a building which is often used as a set for television and film productions!
The registrars from the local Harrow Register Office are easy-going and professional photographers and videographers should not encounter any needless restrictions on their work throughout marriage ceremonies.
See lots more wedding photo galleries including e.g. Peter’s Hunton Park, Peter’s All Saints Church Kenton Harrow, Peter’s Harrow Registry Office, Peter’s Mercure St Albans Noke Hotel, and many more.

The grounds to this wedding venue are extensive and contain lots of mature trees and shrubs plus the lake. Ideal for backdrops for your must-have portraits and group photos

If the “getting ready” part of the day is to be included in the photo coverage Peter usually starts with some detail shots of the bouquets shoes dresses jewellery etc. These are very popular in the wedding albums
Guests arriving ready for the wedding
The groom has his interview with the registrar shortly before the start of the marriage ceremony
Most couples like to have a few semi-formal photos of the bride and her entourage and elsewhere the groom and his VIP guests. This bride posed for a quick photo with her mum and dad on her arrival in her limousine

The pageboys and flower girls are always great photo opportunities
There are always lots of great character shots of the various guests available throughout the day!
The registrars who work at the Grims Dyke Hotel Harrow are very easy going and always great to work with. There are no silly rules limiting professional photography and video
The bride and groom exchange their wedding rings during their marriage ceremony at the Grims Dyke Hotel
Once the real civil marriage register has been finished and signed the registration staff arrange for the bride and groom to have some photos in a pretend signing. The guests are invited to come forward and shoot their own photos
The confetti shower is fine outside the main building of the Grims Dyke Hotel
It is great to have a stroll along the lake beside the venue
The mature trees and shrubs make for some lovely colours in the background!
Most couples like to have a candid “reportage” style of photography for most of the day. Most do like to add a photoshoot comprising a few set-piece semi-posed and posed portraits and group photos. The photo above shows a group of all the guests. The landscaped gardens allows Peter to position the participants to ensure that everyone can be seen. He may stand on a table or chair to gain a little more height

Couples may have a receiving line just before the start of the wedding breakfast
The speeches during the wedding breakfast are always a brilliant photo opportunity. And video is even better!
Typically the speeches comprise the father of the bride followed by the groom followed by the best man. Increasingly brides have their own speech as well. And sometimes several of the guests also participate in the speeches
The cutting of the wedding cake is a must-have photo and video moment in the day
