Background Information and Highlights
Stirrups Hotel is located on the northern outskirts of Bracknell and is easily reached from the nearby M4 M3 and M25 motorways. There is plenty of free onsite parking.
The hotel, previously named slightly differently as the Stirrups Country House Hotel is a modern spacious wedding venue with attractive rooms and extensive well maintained grounds. Crucially for weddings out of the high season when adverse weather can be a big problem, Stirrups has a large patio area which includes several huge brollies for shelter complete with open air heaters. Peter often makes good use of these when completing the family and group photos if the weather is windy or showery.
The registrars who come from the nearby Bracknell Registry Office have no silly rules regarding professional photography and video during ceremonies so it is possible to shoot a good selection of photos and video for this all important part of the day.
See lots more wedding photo galleries including e.g. Peter’s Rivervale Barn, Peter’s Bracknell Registry Office with South Hill Park, Peter’s Cantley House Hotel, Peter’s Elvetham Hotel, Peter’s Burnham Beeches Hotel, Peter’s Grovefield House Hotel, Peter’s Windsor Racecourse, Peter’s Guildhall Windsor, Peter’s Warbrook House, Peter’s Cliveden, Peter’s Hedsor House, Peter’s Wokingham Town Hall, and many more.

Peter used an extreme wide-angle lens to illustrate the main function room which was set up ready for the wedding ceremony

Many couples like to start their coverage with photos of the flowers, shoes, dress detail, jewellery etc as well as the girls getting ready. This may be at the hotel of at a private house

This bride used an amazing long wheelbase limousine to transport her crew to the wedding
Live music can add an extra-special atmosphere to the wedding day
Most couples are married in civil ceremonies at civil venues now, but some still prefer their church. This bride and groom had their wedding at St Peters Church in nearby Cranbourne before departing by horse-drawn carriage to the Stirrups Hotel
Its popular to get some semi-posed photos of the VIPs including of course the groom and best man, the bride and her father, and bridesmaids and groomsmen if time allows

This couple had a naming ceremony for their little boy immediately after the marriage ceremony. Their slightly larger boy made a short speech. The Bracknell Registrars can include other functions such as this naming ceremony

The terrace is an ideal location if you are to have a receiving line
Most couples like to have a few big group wedding photos. A position from an upstairs window is an ideal location from which to shoot
The lake is a popular backdrop for some portraits with the bride and groom
