Our bride paid a lightning visit to the UK to meet some close friends and family to celebrate her recent marriage abroad to Sabry.
The venue was the opulent Cliveden - or to give it its full title The Cliveden House Hotel - Taplow near Maidenhead Berkshire. For sheer luxury you can't beat that - lucky guests!
To say the arrangements were dogged by bad luck would be an understatement. Everything from travel documents not turning up, to late flights, to missing makeup artist, to stormy weather forecast for the day to name but a few. Peter had to admire Shaymaa for not turning into a bridezilla! She was the very definition of calm and elegance.
Eventually the run of poor luck broke and the storms forecast for the afternoon did not materialise. In fact we had good light without dazzling sunshine and a mild temperature for the time of year, which proved to be ideal for our outside photography session.
Cliveden was compromised for outdoor photography by undergoing very extensive renovations both to the main building and to the grounds - which are owned separately by the National Trust. Also carefully check the rules for use of the grounds for photography and video as a permit and substantial usage fee are due to the National Trust in addition to the fees you incur through use of the hotel.
The first photo below illustrates the grand entrance to the Cliveden House Hotel - carefully cropped on this occasion to exclude the extensive building work!
The next photo shows the Parterre seen from the South Terrace at the rear of Cliveden:
There are of course some lovely winter landscapes around the extensive grounds of Cliveden. Peter shot these whilst the guests were enjoying their meal:
The French Dining Room hosted the wedding party:
The gorgeous food was of course prepared under the watchful eye of Andre Garrett:
Peter photographed the guests as they arrived:
And grabbed a few more photos of the guests during the drinks reception inside Cliveden:
At last our bride had defeated all the gremlins and arrived at Cliveden:
Soon the meal in the French Room was underway:
We shot some portraits of our bride, and then lots of group photos with the guests after the main course:
Its always good to finish with some after dark photos featuring the venue:

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. Do not steal now, and that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you do steal, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. (With appreciation to Bryan in "Taken").
