Children At Weddings - A Good Idea Or Not?
Wedding Photographer
A Short Set Of Photos Featuring Young Kids At Weddings Reproduced From My Instagram Post
Kids at weddings? No kids at weddings? The eternal whats best argument. Contentious issue for sure – especially if close family and friends or even the bride herself likes to bring their youngsters along. Will they behave, will they get bored, will they have to be entertained, will they fall asleep, will they shovel down too much food and … yuck … thats the kids I'm talking about not the adults!
Well in my short 20 year experience as a wedding photographer I can say for sure that nearly always the kids are great. They seem to rise to the occasion. Nearly always. If they do decide to take centre stage at 120 decibels midway in the ceremony an adult can discreetly carry them to the back of the room or outside. But that is very rare.
The 1st photo below featured the 120 decibel page boy in full flow. The adult quickly persuaded him to refrain! The wedding was at the lovely Oxford Thames Hotel on the riverbank at Sandford on Thames
