Thank you so much for the album and the photos. We are both absolutely delighted with them. Really lovely.
Jo and Mark
Our featured couple Joanne and Mark chose the elegant Buxted Park Hotel Uckfield East Sussex for their marriage and wedding reception.
The Buxted Park Hotel is in a great location on the outskirts of Uckfield and midway between the M25 motorway and the south coast. Uckfield is easily reached from the A22 and A26 roads and it is around 20 miles from the M25. The hotel is also close to the Ashdown Forest but you don't have to venture out of its over 300 acres of grounds to enjoy a beautiful English landscape.
Its very well maintained both inside and outside and there are lots of terrific areas for photos.
The registrars responsible for weddings and civil partnerships in this area of East Sussex are very easy to work with and so its possible to obtain a good selection of photographs throughout the wedding ceremony.
The weather on the day was threatening to rain and indeed we did have some showers. But the Hotel grounds are quickly and easily accessible from the building and include plenty of walkways so getting outside for some of the all important posed family photos is pretty straightforward.
A bonus of the weather conditions was that a terrific rainbow made an appearance just at the start of the wedding breakfast and we were able to complete some photos with a real rainbow in the background - not often that happens!
There is a variery of great backdrops in the grounds of the Buxted Park Hotel Uckfield, and its also possible to find some sheltered areas if the sun is too bright or the wind too strong.
The first photo below illustrates the Buxted Park Hotel's grand entrance, complete with red carpet laid ready for the wedding:
There are several function rooms and areas available for weddings at this Uckfield wedding venue. The can see the spectacular palladian mansion and the orangery in the next photo:
Peter's coverage usually starts with the girls getting ready and includes some close-up photos of the bouquets, shoes, and dresses etc which loook so good at the start of your wedding album:
Our flowergirls were absolutely charming!
What a gorgeous bedroom in which to get ready for your wedding!
Peter usually shoots a few informal portraits of the groom a few moments before the wedding ceremony starts - the last few moments as a free man for the groom!
The wedding ceremony gets underway:
There are some charming character portraits just begging to be shot during the ceremony, such as the next photo featuring one of the oh so cute flowergirls:
The registrars who conduct marriage ceremonies at the Buxted Park Hotel Uckfield are an easy-going bunch and therefore it is easy for professional photographers and videographers to shoot a complete record of your ceremony, including the important exchange of rings in the next photo:
The orangery at the Buxted Park Hotel is light and airy - always a great relief for professional photographers and videographers!
Blue skies were missing on this wedding day but there are plenty of photogenic backdrops around the hotel grounds to use when shooting the must have groups of friends and families:
Peter usually shoots the wedding reception room before the guests all pile in, including the various favours and other details which look so good featured in your wedding photo album:
What a terrific wedding cake!
The next photo shows the Orangery prepared ready for the wedding breakfast. Photographed using an extreme wide-angle lens to take it all in. Gorgeous!
Our little people provided lots or irresistable photo opportunities:
One benefit of this otherwise disappointingly rainly day was the appearance of a rainbow. We dived out of the Orangery just in time to photograph it.
The speeches during the wedding breakfast are always a great photo and video opportunity:
The mirrors in the Orangery help make for some unique photo and video opportunities such as during the cutting of the wedding cake in the next photo:
The first dance is another must have moment for the album:
A photo of your wedding venue after dark can be a terrific closing page for your album:
