Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number.

All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6.

Background Information:

St Nicholas Church Stevenage Hertfordshire hosted the marriage ceremony for Martha and Chris.

The weather teased us on the morning of the wedding and by the time the ceremony was due to start we were having some quite intense downpours. So it was brollies at the ready for a sprint from the bridal Rolls Royce to the "sanctuary" of the church!

St Nicholas Church is a lovely old building on the northern outskirts of the new town. The interior is roomy and easy for professional photographers to move around in without causing distractions. The official regulations regarding photography during the ceremony are quite restrictive but with a little gentle persuasion professional photographers can shoot more or less unrestricted - just use common sense. Peter was able to shoot both photos and video throughout the service.

Fortunately by the time the wedding ceremony ended the weather had improved and we were able to make good use of the St Nicholas Church churchyard for Martha's extensive list of "must have" photos of groups of family and friends, and of course our bride and groom. Peter always recommends that couples make a list and this together with having a designated rounder-upper to help find the participants ensures that this essential part of the day is completed as quickly as possible.

From the church we made our way through the centre of Stevenage for the wedding reception at Woolmer Green Village Hall, which is adjacent to nearby Knebworth.

Martha and Chris booked a short duration package but we still managed to fit in a lot of the main proceeding - starting with the latter stages of the girls getting ready and ending after the wedding breakfast speeches. Our couple had their speeches at the start of their wedding breakfast; this is now very common as it helps spare the nerves of the speakers and ensures they can enjoy their meal, and it also means you can fit more photo coverage into your day - recommended!

You can see Martha and Chris in front of the St Nicholas Church Stevenage Spire in the photo below. What a terrific olde worlde setting for a wedding!

The day got off to a shaky start as far as the weather was concerned. Peter always carries several ivory coloured umbrellas in his car ready for emergency use but if you have a wedding limo more often than not the chauffeur will have his own. The next photo shows our bride being escorted to the church doors:

Professional photographers can negotiate some relaxation of the normal restrictions on photography at St Nicholas Church, enabling a good selection of photos and video to be shot during wedding ceremonies. This photo shows the view from the rear. There is plenty of space to each side to move shooting positions for alternative views:

Our officiant was very pleasant and easy going. You can see him addressing the couple and their guests here:

Its great when photographers have the freedom to shoot the entire wedding ceremony, enabling the capture of such important moments as here where our couples children deliver their readings. Even better when also captured on video as Peter was able to do:

Many venues still have onerous out of date restrictions when it comes to photographing the signing of the civil register. However at St Nicholas Church there are no such limitations and the signing can be photographed for real rather than as a mock up afterwards:

The churchyard at St Nicholas Church Stevenage Hertfordshire is quite roomy around the spire and there are some shaded areas which work great for the all important posed photos of family and friends such as the main wedding party in this photo:

Confetti is allowed at the church just outside the main gate and this can make for some great action photos:

Martha and Chris chose the nearby Woolmer Green Village Hall for their wedding breakfast and reception. The hall is roomy and has plenty of parking and so lends itself well to events. There is plenty of space outside as well, mainly prepared for various sports but including some neutral shaded areas suitable as backdrops for posed photos:
