Our featured couple Sophie and Robert chose St Marys Church Woughton on the Green in Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire for their wedding ceremony. Our couple selected a short duration combined photography and video package starting shortly before their marriage ceremony and finishing after the photoshoot in the church grounds.
It was an intimate day with just a few select family and friends as guests reflecting the mad rush to get things finalised before their imminent emigration to the USA - lucky things! Naturally there was a lot of emphasis on having posed photos with all the various guests as shortly they would be separated by thousands of miles of ocean.
Professional photography and video is permitted during wedding ceremonies with the proviso that operators are not allowed to change positions once ceremonies are underway. The layout of the interior of St Marys is such that it is difficult to achieve shots of the couples faces as they stand to make their vows and to exchange rings - it is not possible to get far enough forward of the couple to achieve that. However discreet unmanned video cameras can work wonders, and as is so often the case in this scenario the video coverage is more extensive and varied than the photography coverage.
St Marys Church Woughton has a handsome exterior as you will see in the first photo below:
The weather was kind to us on the day and our groom arrived amid dazzling sunshine:
Once the ceremony is underway photography is permitted either from the back or from the position in the next photo, but professional photographers cannot move between these points - its either one or the other:
Our bride wore her veil over her face for most of the ceremony, an unusual choice and Peter was tempted to signal to the celebrant that the "unveiling" may have been overlooked - it has been know for the entire ring exchange to be forgotten in the past! But that had been Sophie's intention all along and so all was well:
There were no restrictions on photographing the signing of the marriage register - its always welcome if this important part of the day can be shot as it happens:
Our couple arranged for their cake cutting to take place inside the church shortly after the end of the ceremony:
Once things had settled down we completed some group photos with the various family and friends before everyone made their way to a posh oriental restaurant for a quiet reception:

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. Do not steal now, and that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. (With appreciation to Bryan in "Taken").
