If you are planning a wedding in the Reading Basingstoke and Newbury areas do take a look at the Prices, the Photo Galleries, the Videos, and the Albums. This sample gallery illustrates just one of many venues for you to browse.
We are absolutely delighted with the photos - you did a fantastic job. It's really difficult to choose which ones for the album because they are all so good! Thank you very much for your contribution to our very special day

Thanks Peter - the photos are fantastic! And I want to tell you again how great the photos are. Getting loads of compliments on the wonderful photography!
The photos look great! We are really pleased with them, so we’re happy. And we are absolutely delighted with the album.
Silchester House is located in the small north Hampshire village of Silchester. To help you get your bearings a little better - thats on the Berkshire Hampshire border just a few miles south of Reading and a short hop north from Basingstoke. The M4 and M3 motorways are to the north and south respectively and it is straightforward to reach Silchester House from them.
Silchester itself has a fascinating history. It was once a major hub for south east England when in Roman times it was known as Calleva Atrebatum. There is a small museum a few hundred yards from Silchester House and the extensive remaining Roman Wall surrounding the old town site and the amphitheatre make for a lovely Sunday afternoon walk. The local pub is called the Calleva Arms - no surprises there! Reading University has an extensive ongoing archaeological excavation active in the summer months.
Silchester House is very close to Peter's Burghfield Common base - just a dog walk away in fact. This Victorian country house is pretty and very well maintained both inside and outside. The extensive grounds compliment its secluded rural location. There is free onsite car parking but it can get a little tight if you have very many guests - but no worries as there is lots of space around this quiet village.

The first photo below was shot by Peter from a light aircraft. You may have seen it and similar photos from the same sequence in the promotional material provided by Bijou who provide some wedding services for Silchester House. The photo can give you a feel for how the venue can be both large and intimate at the same time:
The rear of Silchester House has extensive lawns plus some sheltered semi-formal gardens and is surrounded by mature trees. The marquee at one end of the building may have its orientation changed:
Coverage often starts with some getting ready photos - certainly of the girls and it can include the blokes as well. Take a look at exactly what is happening in the mirror in the next photo!
Aw! Was that unfair? Here he is more suitably dressed and being checked for perfection by the groom:
The front of the house is the obvious location for setpiece photos of the bride and groom with their wedding car - obviously!
