PLEASE NOTE: Reading registrars normally operate a total ban on photography during the marriage ceremony where the marriage takes place at the Register Office. On location some photography is normally allowed at the discretion of the individual registrar officiating on the day.

See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

Suzie and Chris planned a low key wedding and reception for just a few close friends and relations. Suzie made the mistake of booking a wedding photographer who was not really a wedding photographer at all, or even a professional, and when she was still not able to contact him 24 hours before her wedding she booked Ashton Lamont instead. Reading Register Office in Reading town centre was the venue for the marriage ceremony. The registrars (with just one exception) operate a total ban on photography during the ceremony. This is very frustrating but it is caused in part by the numbers of idiot photographers masquerading as professionals that they have to deal with. The Register Office has a decent garden area outside where formal photos can be taken. There is not a suitable wet weather indoor area. Couples should be aware that civil ceremonies are conducted every hour on busy days so you will need to keep to your timetable to avoid clashes with previous and subsequent wedding parties.
The busy and experienced Crowne Plaza Hotel at Caversham Bridge Berkshire hosted the wedding breakfast. The hotel has its own small private garden area which is good for small to medium groups. It is of course right on the banks of the River Thames so its possible to shoot further images in the public park areas.
We had good weather on the day, which was great as we can't seem to take that for granted any longer for Summer weddings in the UK!
In the evening the couple departed for a big riverboat shuffle with lots more friends aboard the Caversham Princess.
