Not all images "work" in black and white. Some have been selected as suitable for conversion and can be viewed within the main galleries. Others can be uploaded for you on request.
Guests - no highspeed internet access? Please request a free CD of these galleries (please note that images are watermarked and not printable).
Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

The spectacular Brompton Oratory, sometimes known as the London Oratory, was the venue for this May wedding. This is the second largest catholic church in London after Westminster Cathedral and it is breathtakingly beautiful inside. Photography is normally allowed during the marriage ceremony though photographers are advised to take long lenses as the closest permitted shooting position is some distance from the couple.
The London Oratory, also known as The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is right next to the Victoria and Albert Museum on Brompton Road South Kensington and is therefore easy to find. Parking is problematic as with most central London venues.
Photography outside the church is limited in scope because it opens right onto the pavement with just a narrow area of private land, so wide angle lenses are the order of the day. However the steps are very useful for posing large groups. Photographers should bear in mind that noise from the heavy traffic will limit your ability to communicate your wishes to large formal groups.
The wedding breakfast was held at nearby 51 Buckingham Gate, a sumptuous complex of five star hotel and private apartments and function rooms. There is a photogenic courtyard which is very useful for formal photography.
The couple, a doctor and an officer in the Royal Navy, had decent weather on the day.
