Ashton Lamont recommends a "flushmount" album for a modern fresh and stylish record of your wedding day.

Each page of a flushmount album is entirely covered by a print which is bonded directly onto - or "flush" with - the underlying page. Each print extends right to the edges of the page base and it may comprise just one image or a montage of several images and special effects. Flushmount albums are also known as digital albums, magazine albums, and coffee table books.

Our recommended manufacturer is GraphiStudio of Italy. GraphiStudio invented the flushmount album and to paraphrase the iconic advert is "probably the best album manufacturer in the World"; the company uses special manufacturing techniques to facilitate double page spreads without any loss of image in the centre crease, and to enable the pages to lie flat when the album is open.

If you prefer a more traditional style of album such as "matted" (where each page is comprised of several standalone images which are viewed through apertures cut in thick card which is itself bonded to the page) our recommended manufacturer is Queensberry of New Zealand.

Most other album brands can be sourced on request, including Jorgensen, Finao, Seldex, Spicer Hallfield, GF Smith, Sim2000, and many more.

Peter completes an initial design in consultation with you and puts this online for your approval. Only once any alterations are completed and your approval obtained does the manufacture go ahead. Please note that unlike many other photographers Peter does NOT subcontract the album design or use templates. Your album is designed entirely inhouse and is unique. Again, unlike many photographers Peter believes you are the best judge of your own tastes and what images should feature in your album - you only have to look at the many home makeover TV programs to see for yourself what havoc so-called experts and self-absorbed artists can wreak!

  10. Parent Books. Each are copies of your main album and are hardcover coffee table books with dust jackets. Background book is "Large" size (11.5"x8.5"). Foreground book is "Small" size (5.75"x4.25"). A "Medium" size (8.5"x5.75") is also available. As with the main album there is no loss of image in the centre crease and the pages lie flat when the book is open. Your Parent book can be a completely different design to your main album (extra design charges apply if parent book is NOT a copy, price based on your specific requirements).

If you order a second copy of your main album at the same time as you specify your main order the second album qualifies for a discount of 30% off the standard list price.
